Israel’s 80th anniversary is more than a national milestone. It is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to celebrate our shared story, strengthen the bond between Israel and Jewish communities around the world, and help shape the next chapter of Jewish Peoplehood.

October 7 reminded us that this bond can never be taken for granted.

It also revealed its extraordinary strength, as Jewish communities across the globe stood with Israel in countless ways.

In Jewish tradition, the age of 80 is known as “GEVUROT” – a milestone that symbolizes strength, wisdom, and the responsibility to pass our shared story from one generation to the next. As Israel reaches this historic moment, we are invited not only to honor its past, but to help shape the future of Jewish Peoplehood.

The Flag of Flags transforms this vision into a shared act of HOPE.

The flags are US

What began as an act of collecting broken flags became a story about people.

Born in Israel, The Flag of Flags began in 2018 as a work of art by artist Tal Tenne Czaczkes, created from hundreds of restored Israeli flags with a promise:

“A day will come, and we will rise high again”.

Over the years, that promise became reality.

Today, more than 700 Israeli flags have been carefully stitched together into a single work of art—bringing hundreds of indiviשdual stories into one shared story.

They are our reflection.

Our values, our beliefs, our fractures, our hope, and our shared future.

Every flag carries a unique story.
Together, they tell our collective story.

Through one meaningful community experience, children, parents, grandparents, educators, youth movements, and community leaders come together to create a unique community Flag of Flags – a lasting symbol of hope, belonging, and our shared future

Every flag mended is an opportunity to mend the bonds between us.
This is how we strengthen the fabric of Jewish peoplehood.

The project founder

Tal Tenne Czaczkes, known as "The Woman in Blue," is an artist, activist, and pioneer who declared herself a flag, choosing to rise from her own fractures and become a symbol of HOPE

Her work has been exhibited at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the Israel Museum, and galleries across Israel.

She is a lecturer, TEDx speaker, and workshop leader
